Relations are like a ladder, but not a standard one. As you ascend it, you see new landscapes, new emotions and as a result, new, better vision of the person whose name this ladder bears. You cannot count its stairs, there is only up and down thing, you know. You may always change your pace - you may run it up the whole way to the skies, but sometimes it may take many years to arrive to the next step on this way.

And yes, there's another thing. You don't always have to keep going up. What you should do is to try doing so. You are bound to succeed if this is intended to be. Finally, you shouldn't get disappointed at the failure. You can always remain on the same level you reached knowing that you've done your best in ascending. You will undoubtedlly find another ladder to climb.
